A Timeless Tragedy Reimagined

Romeo Teaser for site.mp4
00:00/00:00

WDX brings Shakespeare's most visceral tale of star-crossed passion to the contemporary stage. Through the raw language of dance, the feud between the Capulets and Montagues is stripped of its words, leaving only the heartbreaking intensity of young love caught in a cycle of ancestral violence.

Amid steel ruins and pounding rhythms, two young lovers defy family loyalties in our post-apocalyptic reimagining of Shakespeare's classic tale. Set to an intense, cinematic electronic soundtrack, you'll feel the desperation of a world on the brink and the electric spark of a love that shouldn't exist.

Romeo and Juliet is brought to you by Windsor Dance eXperience, Windsor's premier dance theatre company. Since 2003, WDX has staged over 70 productions and has been the artistic outlet for over 500 local dancers. We believe in the power of storytelling through movement, blending theatrical flair with technical dance to create experiences that are accessible, exciting, and uniquely beautiful.
